Create stunningly beautiful countdowns in a few simple clicks with Soon. Soon contains a diverse set of counter types and comes with a visual builder so you can easily configure your own unique counters.
There's a step by step guide on installing WordPress plugins to be found in the WordPress Codex.
If you've previously installed the Soon plugin and want to update, you first have to delete the current plugin and install the new one (soon-wordpress-plugin.zip). The Soon Visual Builder settings are stored in the database and will not be lost.
Navigate to Settings and click on the Soon menu item.
Create a new Counter or Duplicate an existing one. Don't forget to click the Save button after you made your changes. Presets can not be used directly and need to be duplicated first which you can do with the Duplicate button.
Use the Soon icon in the WordPress post or page editor to quickly add your newly created counter. Please check the text/HTML tab for any formatting added by WordPress itself, sometimes WordPress will add <pre> tags around shortcodes, these need to be removed.
Save your page and click Preview
Soon works on all modern mobile and desktop browsers.
The following older browsers are supported:
Soon contains a PHP function to manually render a counter. This might be useful for when you want to embed Soon in a template. The function name is soon_echo($name,$content,$due,$since)
Where $name is the name of the countdown, $content is optional $content to show when the timer runs out, and $due or $since are ISO date strings.
