Thank you for purchasing our theme. If you have any questions that are beyond the scope of this help file, please email us: support@wpdance.com. Thanks so much!
We hope you will enjoy working with our themes.
Yours sincerely, WPDance.
In this user guide you will find all required information to get your site up and running: starting from theme installation and setup, to usage of different post types, page templates and shortcodes
Attention!!! Kindly note, that we cannot provide the support until you specify your Item Purchase Code. Here's how you can get it: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/item-purchase-code/96457.
Also note that this is combined manual for our multipurpose themes that shares similar back- and front-end features. Therefore some screenshots, interfaces and features may slightly vary from actual theme that you’ve purchased.
Please note that this theme is not harder to use than any other premium theme with advanced functions. Moreover, we believe that it’s even much easier! And there’s a good reason for that: amount of time that we invested in designing its interfaces, page templates and theme options is simply immense…
Nevertheless, please note that this User Guide does NOT cover basic WordPress usage. Therefore if you are not a confident WordPress user, please get accustomed with it BEFORE proceeding to this manual and theme!
Here are some links that will help you to become more confident with WordPress:
Seriously!!! If you do not want to spoil your experience with any Premium Theme, get accustomed with WordPress basics first!
Our themes are compatible with the WordPress versions 4.0 or higher ( PHP 5.2.4 or higher, and mysql 5 or higher).
Most JavaScript enabled Browsers will make them work with no issues. They are designed and optimized for desktops, tablets and smartphones.
Currently we are testing themes in:
IMPORTANT!!!
Gameworld has an advanced Theme Options panel that is loaded with options. We have the options organized into logical tabbed sections, and each option has a description of what it will do on the front end. There are too many options to go over in these docs but please take some time and navigate through each tab to see what we offer. Go to Appearance > Theme Options in your WordPress admin to access the theme options panel. You can also backup your theme options by clicking on the backup tab. That is a great way to move your custom options from site to site. See below for screenshots of our theme options panel. Please note: we are always adding new options so these screenshots may not reflect the most up to date options.
Download and Install WordPress 4.0 or later.
If you've downloaded whole theme package (see fig. 1), unzip it. There you will find the theme installation file (called like "theme_name_v.zip"), user manual, dummy content folder, license folder, folder with PSD files, etc.
Alternatively you can simply download the installable WordPress file (see fig. 1-2).
You have 2 ways to upload theme:
In "Appearance > Themes > Manage Themes > Available Themes" activate the Theme by hitting the correspondent "Activate" link.
Attention!!! To assure your permalinks are being rendered correctly (the web-site does not return "404 Not Found" error) after switching the theme, follow "Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks" and click "Save Changes".
After activating the Theme, you will notice Theme Options and Required Plugins (WooCommerce, WD Shortcode, WD Portfolio, WD Slide, Testimonials, etc.) in your WordPress admin panel.
Using FTP client, go to "your_site/wp-content/themes/wp_gameworld" CHMOD to 777 this folder : cache_theme. You also change CHMOD to 777 for Uploads folder.
Follow the steps below to install via WordPress
Please note that some hostings have a restriction on a size of a file that you are uploading. If any warnings appear, most probably, your hosting has file size limit. And the theme .zip file is too large to be uploaded via WordPress Panel.
To solve this problem you should either increase your maximum upload size (to 10mb) on your hosting admin panel or try contacting your hosting provider to do it for you if you do not have the privilege to alter your server php settings. This is a very common request and they should be able to help you out. Once the limit is increased you can re-try the install and you’ll be all good to go.
Also, you can install the theme via FTP.
Otherwise you can install theme via FTP. Simply unzip the installable file and upload the theme folder via FTP into "your_site/wp-content/themes/".
Attention!!! Theme will work fine on the vast majority of correctly installed and configured WordPress sites without any additional settings. However on some (very rear) hosting configurations you can notice that images on your site are not displaying. If you are experiencing this issue, please follow these steps to fix it:
If above steps did not yield any results, please don’t hesitate to address this issue directly to your hosting company. Since this is most likely a server-related problem, we will not be able to help you!
In order to import demo content file, follow "WP-admin >Tools > Import > WordPress" (fig. 5):
Click on "Browse" button and select the demo XML file ( "sample-data.xml" ) beside your theme package, then click "Upload file and import" button.
The next screen in "Import author" you are able to select a new author for imported content or select the existing one. In "Import Attachments" section you need to choose whether you want to upload demo media or not. Finally, click "Submit" (fig. 6):
You can update your theme via FTP or via WordPress. See the information below for each method. However the first thing you need to do is download the new theme files from Themeforest.
Whenever you update the theme, its always a good idea to backup your current theme folder. Log into your server and make a copy of the GameWorld theme folder located at wp-content > themes. If you are using the Revolution Slider and have added custom css, please make a backup of the styles because those will be removed when you update. You can also backup your theme options on the backup tab in Appearance > Theme Options.
We notice you should use this environment to test. If there have no problems, you can tranfer to live site
The easiest and safest way is to always update through the Envato Toolkit plugin that comes packed with the theme.
In your WordPress admin dashboard you should see a section called Envato Toolkit. You need to connect your ThemeForest account to it and once you have done so, you’ll see here all available updates, always at one click away.
To connect your ThemeForest account, you'll need to input your account username and a secret API key. An API Key can be generated in your ThemeForest account, under My Settings > API Keys.
This tool also gives you the option to create a backup while updating, which we totally recommend.
Download the latest version of the Envato Toolkit Plugin.
Gameworld is constantly being updated with new features and adjustments. You can always view the most recent update information in the change log in the changelog.txt file inside the theme zip file.
The header is probably one of the first things you will want to setup. The header consists of pretty much everything above and including the menu. There are many different elements to the header and many ways to customize it including images, colors, content, design and more. All of this is done via our Admin Panel. The following sections will cover several different sections of the header that are listed below
In Gameworld we have thought an alternative way of having single logo image which is retina compatible as well. Gameworld will not give these paddings using CSS.
The favicon options are also on the logo tab in theme options. Favicon's are an icon associated with a URL that is variously displayed, as in a browser's address bar or next to the site name in a bookmark list. To add it, simply click the upload button next to the appropriate field and select the favicon file you would like to use
Navigate to Appearance > Theme Options > Header style to access the header options
You can create any number of pages with content. GameWorld includes several page templates to choose from, and you will need to choose the page template that suits your needs. For example, if you want a "Full Width" page, then you need to select "Full Width" for the page template. All of this is done in the pages section of your WordPress Admin.
The sample code for the contact page. Use the Text editor to add it

Each page you create has a full set of options to choose from allowing you to customize each individual page. Each page you open in your WordPress admin will have a "Page Configuration" Box that contains all the different settings. Some settings will only work if you use a specific template. Below are screenshots of the Page Configuration box.
In there:
You can quickly build a home page using one of the pre-defined layouts you can see in the theme demo.
To ensure flexibility, all pages are built using one of the available page templates and a combination of shortcodes, which is available on this page, for each home page version. Take the following steps for creating a new home page
Homepage
Page Composer is a visual shortcode generator that you can build your layout painlessly without wasting your time with writing shortcodes. We built Page Composer based on Famous plugin called Visual Composer by wpbakery. There's one concept/design pattern you should know. In the Page Composer editor mode you'll have "Add element" button, which you should click or drag to the working canvas, to add content block or row to your page. Clicking the "Add element" button will show the content element selection menu. Content blocks are divided into categories so you can filter. Alternatively you can type the shortcode name to filter down the items instead of search them visually.
It has very simple and intuitive interface, but before getting started with building layouts, you may find it useful to get accustomed with Visual Composer documentation: http://kb.wpbakery.com/index.php?title=Visual_Composer.
You can control page composer global settings such as disable/enable in a post type and user roles that can use a shortcode. You can find these settings from WordPress "WP-admin > Settings > Visual Composer".
Content types: This option allows you to choose which post type should have the page composer feature. Please note that only post types will have this feature that they have WP editor feature. So for example clients will not have page composer even if you check mark its post type.
Rules for users groups: This option will give you the ability to select which shortcode should be appeared in the specific user role. this is useful when you give subscribers the ability to post, so you can disable some shortcodes for them.
Display reponsive content elements: Check this checkbox to prevent content elements from "stacking" one on top other (on small media screens, eg. mobile).
Google font subsets: Choose which subsets you want to load for your Custom Heading Element. Take into account that each subset will have impact on page loading.
This Options allows you to apply custom visual appearance to Visual Composer content elements and also control responsive width. By default content elements "stack" one on top other when screen size is smaller than 768px.
If you want to add some custom CSS code to the plugin and don't want to modify any files, then it's a good place to enter your code at this field.
This options allow you to make update the plugin automatically
This tab allow you to map your shortcode. Your shortcode will be shown on the list of Visual Composer elements menu
To start creating new layout click "BACKEND EDITOR" button on the top left of WYSIWYG (text editor):
WYSIWYG editor change to Visual Composer canvas (see fig. 2.). You can work with it as you do with regular Visual Composer
Row element allows you to add your content. To add row, you click "Add new element" button, then select Row element from list
Visual Composer allows you to setting up the row with many options.
Rows are used to divide your page into the logic blocks with columns, columns later will hold your content blocks. To divide columns, you hover on Column button and select layout you want to show. Then, click Add New Element button in column section to add new element for column
There are too many shortcodes to go over this document. Please take some times and navigate to each menu item. We only present some popular shortcodes
Please click on icon (Edit row) to open "Row Settings" popup, You choose "Fit the content" for Type option to fit that row with the content in the page (it usually use for homepage)
Please click on icon (Edit column) to open "Column Settings" popup, You check the Use Animate? and complete the Animate option to apply animation for that column

Once you have created your sliders, you need to assign them to a page, or use a shortcode if the slider offers one. There are two methods to assigning a slider to a page. First you can assign a slider via our page configuration box. Doing it this way will always put the slider directly under the navigation. The second method is to insert the slider shortcode in the post content field. Read below for information on both methods

Prior to the WC 2.1 release there were additional pages for account/checkout (such as lost password, order received, edit address, etc.) which now have been removed in favor of endpoints. Endpoints are nested into the pages listed above, for example, if you go to your My Account page you will see the links for the ‘my account’ endpoints.
