Installation Requirements

Here are some requirements for the installation of Bolby Theme.

  • WordPress should be installed on your website.
  • The memory limit of your hosting server should be at least 128MB.
  • Max upload size and Post max size limits of your hosting server should be at least 32MB.
  • Max execution time limit of your hosting server should be at least 300 seconds.

Theme Installation

After purchasing Bolby theme, it’s recommended to download “All files & documentation” from Themeforest. Extract the downloaded .zip archive contents on your local machine (wherever you like).

1. For installing Bolby theme, from your WordPress dashboard go to Appearance > Themes
2. Click “Add New” button.
3. Click “Upload Theme” button.
4. Unzip the theme package you downloaded from ThemeForest and select the bolby.zip file by clicking the “Choose File” button.
5. And Finally click “Install Now” button.
Once theme installation is done, activate the theme.

FTP Installation

  1. Extract bolby.zip archive on your local machine
  2. Log in to your FTP program and go to WordPress themes folder wp-content/themes
  3. Upload extracted Bolby folder in this directory
  4. Log in to your Dashboard, then go to Appearance > Themes
  5. Now you’ll see Bolby theme in your themes list.

Install Plugins

Once the theme is activated, please activate all the required plugins of the theme by clicking “Begin Installing Plugins” notice in the dashboard. List of bundled plugins is given below:

  1. Elementor Required
  2. CMB2 (Custom Meta Box) Required
  3. Kirki Required
  4. One-Click Demo Import Required
  5. Bolby Custom Post Type Required
  6. Bolby Elementor Elements Required
  7. Contact Form 7 (Contact Form) Required

1. For installing  plugins, go to Appearance > Install Plugins or click on Begin installing plugins link from theme notice. 
2. Check the all plugins and select Install from Bulk actions, and click the Apply button 
3. All installations have been completed. Now click the Return to Required Plugins Installer link at the bottom
4. Check all plugins and select activate from Bulk Actions, Now click the Apply button 

Importing demo

Pleasant to say, our theme has provided One Click Demo Installation feature For importing demo content go to Appearance > Import Demo Data and click the Import Demo Data button.

After the click the Install button, please wait a couple of minutes.

Setting "Home Page"

To determine which would be displayed as Front Page and which one as Posts Page, within your dashboard navigate to Settings > Reading and setup like on this picture below. Then click on Save Changes and basic site setup is done.

Creating Pages

Adding new pages works similar to standard WordPress > Pages Add New.

  • At the bottom of the page you can find Page Settings box.
  • You can select Page Template from Page Attributes at the right side
    • Default Template with title. (Classic page)
    • Page One Page
    • Page Blog
    • Page Empty

Creating Pages with Elementor

  1. Pages -> Add New
  2. Edit with Elementor
  3. Select Page Layout before hit the Settings Icon from left bottom corner.
  4. Click on Plus icon to add elements

Creating Menus

The first step of creating our menu is to open the WordPress Menu Editor. For this go to Appearance Menus, type Name for your menu and press Create Menu button. Next, in section Manage locations for position Primary menu you need to choose a menu that you’ve just created. Now you can add Pages, Posts, Custom Links and Categories from blocks located on the left.

At the end you need to save your new menu by clicking on Save Changes.

Homepage Settings

You can choose what’s displayed on the homepage of your site. It can be posted in reverse chronological order (classic blog), or a fixed/static page. To set a static homepage, you first need to create two Pages. One will become the homepage, and the other will be where your posts are displayed.
